Voxxx Count’s 77 Paul Shortino And Mitch Perry: What An Awesome Way To Celebrate My Birthday Weekend!

My weekend‑long birthday celebration wrapped up exactly the way a Vegas birthday should — surrounded by family & friends, packed into the Breeze Bar inside the Treasure Island Casino, soaking in three straight hours of classic‑rock music from who I've nicknamed the "dynamic duo Of Classic Rock Music" themselves: Paul Shortino and Mitch Perry. Honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better place or a better show to close out the weekend-long celebration. These two are simply awesome — world‑class music artists delivering world‑class music in a room that felt alive from the first note to the last song.

But before I get into Saturday night, I’ve got to give a big, loud thank you to the bands who lit the fuse on this whole birthday weekend: Voxxx and Count’s 77. Friday night on the Fremont Street Experience was the perfect kickoff — both bands absolutely nailed their performances! Voxxx came out swinging with that high‑energy, modern‑rock fire they’re known for, and Count’s 77 kept the party roaring with their signature classic‑rock power. What a way to start a celebration. They set the tone, raised the bar, and made sure the weekend started at full throttle!

Then came Saturday night!

Inside the Treasure Island Hotel's Breeze Bar, the atmosphere was pure Vegas magic. The bar was packed with locals, tourists, regulars, and rock‑and‑roll lifers who know exactly where to find the good stuff in Las Vegas. The energy was electric — the kind of atmosphere you only get when the music is real, the crowd is locked in, and the performers are giving it everything they’ve got.

The show kicked off at 7 PM, and Paul Shortino and Mitch Perry wasted no time setting the tone. Their setlist was a tour through the heart of classic rock and soul — a hand‑picked soundtrack of songs that hit you right where you live. They rolled through “Midnight Rider,” “New York State of Mind,” “Desperado,” “Faithfully” by Journey, “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye, plus deep‑cut favorites from the Doobie Brothers, B.B. King, Heart, Edgar Winter Group, and more. Every song landed. Every moment felt personal. Every note reminded you why these two (Paul & Mitch) are considered two of the most respected music artists in the entire world!

And then came the closer — a perfect, emotional, full‑circle ending to both the show and my birthday weekend: Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World.” After three hours of powerhouse vocals, velvet‑fire guitar work, keyboard vibes from Heaven, and a room full of people singing along, that final song hit like a warm spotlight. It was the exclamation point on a night I’ll be talking about for a long time!

To my family and friends — thank you for making this entire weekend a wonderful world for me! Scroll back through my blog posts, or simply hit the links below, to see just how incredible this birthday run has been.

And to Paul Shortino, Mitch Perry, Voxxx, and Count’s 77 — thank you for bringing the music, the energy, and the icing on the cake. You didn’t just play shows… You helped turn my birthday into a celebration I’ll never forget! Thank You All!

Here’s to another year, another birthday celebration, and another night in my life as a music journalist!

I truly do live in a Wonderful World!

  1. Great post! I wasn’t aware that non-surgical treatments like PRP and customized physiotherapy could effectively manage Foot and Ankle Pain Treatment. This is very useful for anyone looking for long-term relief without surgery. Keep sharing such insights!
